Biography
Private William Boyle was born October 12, 1896 in Beauly, Antigonish County. Son of Angus Boyle and Anna Bell MacDonald. Prior to enlistment he worked as a farmer. Boyle enlisted in the 1st Depot Battalion of the Nova Scotia Regiment on May 21, 1918 and was discharged January 9, 1919 due to demobilization. Following the war, Boyle farmed in Beauly and married Mary Margaret Punch of Beauly in the 1920s. Private William Boyle died February 14, 1983 in Antigonish.
