Biography
Private Thomas John Chisholm was born July 9, 1895 in Marydale, Antigonish County to Allan Chisholm and Annie Kennedy. By 1917, Chisholm had immigrated to the United States and was living in Mount Kisco, Westchester, New York as a lineman for New York Telephone Company.
Chisholm enlisted in the 348th Infantry of the American Expeditionary Forces June 24, 1918 in Port Chester, New York. He served six weeks in France with the unit. Chisholm was discharged due to demobilization on March 10, 1919.
By 1930, Chisholm was living in Yorkers, Westchester, New York and was working a a lineman. On June 25, 1932 he married Josephine Hamilton of Ireland in Yonkers. By 1950, Chisholm had moved to Mount Vernon, Westchester, New York and was working as a lineman. He is listed a single in the census.
Chisholm died April 1976 in Canada.
