Biography
Roderick J. MacPherson was born in Caledonia Mills to John R. and Mary (MacDonald) MacPherson.
He enlisted during the Second World War and served in France and Germany as a sniper.
After the war, he returned to Antigonish and married Sarah MacLean of Keppoch. Together they had five children.
Roderick later moved to Lake Lynn, Manitoba, where he worked in mining. He later lived in Prince George, British Columbia, where he worked in security services.
Following his retirement, Roderick returned to Antigonish, where he lived until his death at the age of 78.
