Biography
Michael Bishop was born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton in 1914 to Ernest Bishop and Anne King. His brother Frederick “Fred” Bishop also served in the Second World War. Both brothers were adopted to families in Dunmore, Antigonish County. Michael was adopted by Hugh J. MacDonald and Fred was adopted by MacDonald’s neighbours, Hugh Andrew MacGillivray and Catherine MacIntosh.
Bishop served with the Royal Canadan Air Force in the Second World War.
