Biography

Mary Margaret “Peggy” Sinclair was born in Frasers Mills, Nova Scotia, to Malcolm and Elizabeth “Jessie” (MacDonald) Sinclair.

During the Second World War, Mary Margaret served as a nurse. Her brothers, Alexander and Charles Sinclair, also served during the war.

While serving overseas, Mary Margaret married C. J. (Doug) MacAllen on January 4, 1944, in England. Following the war, she continued working as a registered nurse. She and her husband later moved to Red Rock, Ontario, where she lived until her death.
