Biography

Private John Angus Boyd was born March 12, 1899 in South River, Antigonish County.  He was the son of Angus W. Boyd and Mary “Minnie” McGillivray. Prior to enlistment he worked as a lumberman.  Served the No. 3 Forestry Co. C.R.F in France and Belgium.

Boyd eventually moved to British Columbia and  married Rose Alba Turgeon. While living in Delta, British Columbia Boyd was employed as a cab driver in the 1970s and 1980s. Boyd died October 27, 1989 in Delta, British Columbia. He is buried in Boundary Bay Cemetery, Delta, British Columbia.
