Biography
Frederick Leander DeWolfe was born on October 16, 1924, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Stephen and Margaret (Boudreau) DeWolfe. In 1934, he moved with his family to Lower South River, Antigonish County.
DeWolfe was a veteran of the Second World War. His elder brothers, Arthur and Edgar DeWolfe, also served during the war.
Following his military service, he married Dorothy Dort. The couple lived in Lower South River, where they raised two sons before moving to James River.
Throughout his working life, DeWolfe was employed as a tractor-trailer driver with Teasdale Transport, Lloyd MacPhee Trucking, and Chisholm Construction Co. Ltd.
Frederick Leander DeWolfe passed away at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax on July 27, 2000
