Biography
Dave Hugh MacDonald was born in St. Andrews, Antigonish County, to David and Mary Elizabeth (Chisholm) MacDonald.
Dave worked as a heavy equipment officer for Suncor Energy in Fort McMurray, Alberta, before enlisting in the Second World War. He served overseas from 1944 to 1946. His brother Colin also served.
He was discharged in Halifax where he settled and married Betty MacPherson.
