Biography

General Daniel Boyd was born April 26, 1895 in Frasers Mills, Antigonish County. He was the son of Angus J. Boyd and Anne MacDonald. Before the war he was employed as a clerk by CKR in the General Office in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Boyd enlisted March 1, 1916 and served in the 6th Battery of the Canadian Field Artillery in France. While serving overseas, Boyd was gassed and never fully recovered. His occupation listed in the 1931 Census of Canada is returned soldier. In the 1931 Census of Canada, he was listed as a return soldier and living with his sister Marcella Boyd in Moncton.

Boyd died in Moncton, New Brunswick on March 1, 1937.
