Book Launch of “Someone Else’s Saint” on May 1st at 7pm

Join local author Dr. Matthew R. Anderson for the launch of his latest book, Someone Else’s Saint: How a Scottish Pilgrimage Led to Nova Scotia, which was inspired in part by a talk Anderson gave at the Museum in 2024. This wonderful book charts the course of a pilgrimage along the Whithorn Way in Scotland to a church established by St. Ninian, juxtaposed against a walk from Pomquet to Antigonish, and is interlaced with wonderful anecdotes about the historical and the mythical Ninian, and the people, places, and history of Antigonish Town and County.
Music will be provided by Mary Beth Carty, and refreshments by our wonderful volunteers. Special guest Lewis MacKinnon of Gaelic Affairs.
Hosted by the Heritage Association of Antigonish.
